Much love for the gargoyle dude; he sure has a lot of personality for a little stone thing. The suggestion of translucence on the tentacle creature is really spiffy--not to mention its design is the stuff of nightmares. Not quite sure if I find the lack of detail in certain areas beneficial or dissatisfying. I guess I can see having fairly nonspecific background elements, but perhaps a wee bit more detail on the foremost building (particularly the right wall)?

I don't really get the mask/face relationship. is the mask off for some reason, or just for character design display? because I don't think he would expose his face on purpose.

Medieval Batman huh? I like the character design I am not so sure about the pose. I think a more dynamic pose more heroic like would be better also I think the visor being down would be in order. I also don't see any cast shadows from the beast considering where you light source is coming from.
